Aston Rothbury Factors Ltd, the twenty-three year old Essex-based invoice finance company, was placed into administration on 28 June, with the appointment of Joint Administrators Geoff Rowley and Nick O’Reilly of FRP Advisory LLP. 

The Company went into administration following the withdrawal of funding lines by the incumbent funder.

The Joint Administrators were able to trade the business, whilst they entered into discussions with a number of interested parties. This culminated in the sale of the client portfolio of Aston Rothbury Factors to Bibby Financial Services.

The deal, which completed on 26 July 2010, secured the funding lines of more than 40 clients.
