Electrum Holdings Ltd, AC2000 Ltd and EINW Ltd, the Leicester-based air-conditioning and electrical contractors, went into administration on 12 April 2010, with the appointment of David Thornhill, partner at FRP Advisory LLP, as Joint Administrator.

The economic recession, coupled with the unsustainability of the companies' servicing of its group pension liability scheme, resulted in the companies being placed into administration.

Working closely with the management team, the Joint Administrators were able to continue to trade EINW Ltd, whilst assessing the opportunities available to rescue various parts of the businesses.
