P1 International Limited and P1 (North) Limited

P1 International Limited and P1 (North) Limited were private members’ car clubs offering shared access to a range of super cars on a temporary basis, in exchange for an annual membership fee. 

Both companies were placed into administration on 25 March 2009, with the appointment of Joint Administrators Jeremy French and Glyn Mummery, Partners at FRP Advisory LLP. 

The Joint Administrators traded both businesses whilst identifying a suitable buyer that would allow each company to meet its obligations to members. 

The Joint Administrators of P1 International Limited and P1 (North) Limited then sold the business and assets of both companies to a Joint Venture involving Brittle Motor Group and Michael Breen. The move safeguarded 17 jobs. 

The new company was able to continue to trade from existing P1 sites in Leatherhead and Middlewich and the acquiring entity was able to honour services owed to members. They were also able to put the business back on a surer footing and satisfy membership agreements.
