Learning and development
Our approach to Learning and Development
Just as we want to enable our clients to fulfil their ambitions, we want to encourage our people to build careers and develop their expertise. We understand the need to ensure that people get the training and development they require to reach their full potential and we want to ensure that the right opportunities are available to support the growth of our people.
Trainee positions
FRP Advisory offers trainee positions for school leavers and graduates across a wide range of areas. We ensure that trainees receive the high quality teaching and development they need in order to pass their professional examinations and to work effectively in their roles. Study leave is provided and students are allocated a student mentor whose job it is to support trainees through their studies.
Insolvency practitioners
Within our business recovery departments FRP Advisory offers the following training routes:
ACCA training contracts
FRP Advisory recruits graduates for three-year ACCA training contracts each August. Trainees are provided with full study support, including ACCA training courses at the appropriate training college, and paid study time to attend these courses. The entry requirements for Business Recovery ACCA training contract applications are 280 UCAS points and a 2:2 degree (any discipline).
Typically it will take three years to qualify. We sponsor our trainee’s for all study and revision courses at their first attempt. On completion of the ACCA training, we encourage trainees to progress onto the JIEB qualification.
AAT Training
We also recruit AAT trainees. Trainees are provided with full study support, including AAT training courses at the appropriate training college and paid study time to attend these courses. The entry requirements for AAT training applications are a minimum of five GCSEs (grade A* to -C) including Maths and English and 220 UCAS points. On completion of the AAT training, those trainees who demonstrate aptitude to progress are encouraged to move onto the ACA training, via the top-up route.
