David Thornhill

Previously a Director at a Big Four firm and now a partner at FRP Advisory, David started his insolvency career in the Official Receiver's office in 1987. Since that time, he has worked on many hundreds of cases varying from small bankruptcies to large scale corporate appointments. David has taken insolvency appointments for over 10 years and also undertakes business reviews as well as advising stakeholders concerning businesses in financial distress.
David is responsible for FRP Advisory's office in the North. He has been an active member of the North West Regional Committee of R3 for nine years, including three years as its Chairman, and is currently Chairman of the Turnaround Management Association for the North West region.
At FRP Advisory, David is responsible for delivering insolvency and advisory services for all stakeholders be they banks, asset based lenders, professional intermediaries, directors or individuals. He is highly experienced at dealing with a range of stakeholders in seeking to achieve the best result for those in financial difficulty.
Married with two teenage girls, in his spare time David acts as a taxi and banker for his daughters, as well as playing golf, walking and bird watching.

Rachel joined FRP Advisory's Northern team as a manager in January 2011, following five years at a Big Four firm. Working with partner and location director, David Thornhill, Rachel leads the firm's personal insolvency offering in the North, working closely with the national personal insolvency team.
Rachel is experienced in dealing with personal insolvency assignments, including some high profile bankruptcies and individual voluntary arrangements.
