Charles Turner

Previously a director at PwC, Charles joined FRP Advisory as a partner and head of the personal insolvency and advisory division. Charles led the firm’s expansion into the South West of England and South Wales by launching the South West location in Bristol, in February 2011.
Charles offers a wealth of experience that has been built up through working as an insolvency practitioner acting on many hundreds of varied insolvency assignments. He has extensive experience of corporate insolvencies, including acting as joint liquidator to one of the Enron group of companies as well as dealing with sensitive environmental issues for a waste disposal site and recently dealing with the affairs of a construction company prosecuted under the Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007. He has regularly been called upon to advise partnership businesses and professional practices, having led both restructuring and insolvency assignments, for example for firms in the legal profession.
Charles was appointed Deputy Vice President of the Insolvency Practitioners Association in 2011, is a member of Council and currently chairs their Personal Insolvency Committee. He was awarded 'Insolvency Practitioner of the Year - Personal' in the profession’s 2009 Insolvency & Rescue Awards.
At FRP Advisory, Charles is responsible for delivering commercially effective restructuring and insolvency solutions on behalf of both individuals and businesses, tailored to meet the requirements of a broad range of clients from the lending community, both across the South West region and nationally.
Whilst much of his experience has been London-based, Charles’ true home remains, along with his roots, in the West Country, where he resides with his wife and three children. As well as supporting them with their own sporting activities, Charles enjoys a range of pursuits including motor biking and dog walking.

Gareth is a licensed Insolvency Practitioner, with extensive corporate recovery and insolvency experience as a director within a major international firm. In February 2011, he joined Charles Turner in opening FRP Advisory’s South West location in Bristol, following 11 months with the London team.
Gareth specialises in restructuring and solvent liquidations, with particular expertise in advising investment trusts. His experience encompasses single company liquidations, project managing and implementing corporate simplification programmes for groups, S110 reconstructions and demergers, and share capital reduction schemes.
Gareth has a young family and, when time permits, enjoys swimming and sailing.

Stuart Jary

Previously a Manager within the personal insolvency division of a Big Four firm, Stuart offers a wealth of experience in bankruptcy, IVA, PVA cases and provides personal debt advice to individuals and businesses.
Stuart is a member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association, sitting on its personal insolvency committee. In addition, he acts as an examiner and marker for the insolvency profession.
Having worked on a number of large, complex bankruptcy cases, including the sale of a wildlife sanctuary, Stuart’s experience of compulsory liquidation cases also includes a company that was wound-up in the public interest for the mis-selling of World Cup football tickets.
Stuart has provided technical training to local councils and banks on personal insolvency issues and has advised banks regarding complex creditor and asset positions.
Stuart is a season ticket holder at Gloucester RFC and describes himself as a below average squash player.
