Since qualifying as a licensed insolvency practitioner in 1997, Ian has gained a wealth of experience in all forms of personal and corporate insolvency and has undertaken assignments in a variety of sectors including healthcare, hospitality, retail, printing, property and construction.
He also has considerable experience in dealing with solvent liquidations ranging from the winding up of family companies to the rationalisation of group structures for household name PLCs.
Ian prides himself in being able to give sound business advice to the proprietors of struggling businesses and in finding innovative rescue solutions wherever possible.

Ian Vickers

Ian has been with FRP Advisory and its predecessor firms since 1997, originally being a partner in Levy Gee with experience in providing advice to businesses, from sole traders to multimillion pound businesses, across the whole range of industry sectors.
Ian is also involved with the Worthing and Adur Chamber of Commerce, and has been the Honorary Treasurer for 10 years.

Chris Stevens

Chris brings some 20 years' insolvency experience to his role as partner at FRP Advisory in Sussex, having acted on a multitude of different assignments across the UK. With a recent focus on work in the Care and Hotel and Leisure sectors, Chris' corporate work has ranged from assisting small owner-managed businesses to advising larger groups of companies, and has involved advising both lenders and directors. In addition, his experience includes extensive work on a large investigation involving allegations of fraud and misconduct.
Chris is a member of the Insolvency Practitioner Association and obtained his qualifications in 1995. He is formally based in the Sussex office, in Worthing, but is often found working remotely on his assignments.
Chris' main outside interest is travelling and he has taken a number of sabbaticals to see the far flung corners of the world. His other passions include football, reading and running.

Julie joined an FRP predecessor firm in 2005 and is a Client Services Director in the Business Recovery team based in Worthing. Prior to this she had 15 years’ experience in two top 10 accountancy practices.
Julie qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1989 and, in 1995, as a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner. She has a wide range of experience in all aspects of insolvency, with more than 20 years' experience of both corporate and individual assignments.
More recently, Julie has specialised in all aspects of personal insolvency matters. She has a personal approach and liaises closely with each individual ensuring that they are receiving the appropriate advice based on their individual circumstances, always seeking to balance the needs of both the individuals and their lifestyle with that of the needs of their creditors.
Currently, Julie jointly heads up FRP’s National technical and compliance team, seeking to ensure all aspects of FRP’s technical work meets the high quality that should be expected of licensed insolvency practitioners.
Julie is married with two children; any time left after supporting everyone in their varied activities is spent socialising with friends and family, where possible incorporating fitness and visits to the cinema and theatre.

Nick Lovelock

Previously a Senior Manager within the business restructuring team at BDO LLP in Gatwick, West Sussex, Nick offers a wealth of experience in corporate and personal insolvency and has focused, in recent years, on corporate administration assignments in the South East of England.
Having worked on a number of large, complex cases, including the administration of the UK’s largest independent music distributors, Nick’s experience also includes the solvent winding-up of six group companies for an international bank, and the administration of a high-end building company in Sussex.
Nick’s knowledge spans a range of sectors, with significant experience in the Construction, IT, Retail and Recruitment environments.

Clare joined Levy Gee, an original FRP predecessor more than 20 years ago. She then gained her insolvency qualification in 1993 whilst working for one of the major firms in Brighton. Since returning to the FRP predecessor firms in 2003, Clare has worked on a wide range of both corporate and personal assignments. More recently she has managed a number of Law of Property Act receiverships, administrations and larger solvent liquidations.

Chris has been with FRP and its predecessor firm since 2005 and recently passed the Joint Insolvency Examination Board.
Chris’s corporate work has ranged from dealing with trading care homes, dealing with smaller owner managed businesses and handling Company Voluntary Arrangements. This has involved dealing with a variety of sectors including construction, hospitality, printing and healthcare.
As part of his role Chris is involved in providing technical updates and training for the Worthing office and is constantly reviewing changes in relevant legislation.
