Gerald has a wealth of experience in pensions and insolvency practice, which has been developed over more than 20 years in the industry.
Gerald has been lead partner within a number of practices including RSM Robson Rhodes in Birmingham and, in a previous role at Grant Thornton, Gerald led its local pensions covenant review team and was also responsible for maintaining insolvency connections.
Within FRP Advisory, Gerald is responsible for developing pensions covenant review and related services to trustees and corporate employers, in relation to defined benefit pension schemes.
In addition, he is actively involved in providing restructuring and insolvency advice to companies in financial difficulty.
In his leisure time, Gerald enjoys swimming, cycling and running, plus spending time with his family.

Gerry is part of the National Asset Based Lending team, where his broad experience allows him to address business funding solutions.
Gerry joined an FRP Advisory predecessor company in November 2009 and is a Graduate Chartered Accountant, having qualified with a Big Four firm in 1991. He has held a broad range of senior management positions within the Automotive Engineering and Asset Based Lending industries and has eleven years’ Asset Based Lending experience covering risk, new business and strategic roles up to main board level. The last 3 years were spent providing risk and pre-lending reviews to the main independent and bank owned lenders, specialising in complex/distressed lends.
Gerry is married with three children and enjoys reading and playing golf. He is also a lifelong Glasgow Celtic supporter.

Steve Stokes

Steve joined FRP Advisory from a Big Four firm in February 2011, as an appointment taking director at the firm’s West Midlands location, based in Birmingham.
Steve has also worked at Baker Tilly and has over 12 years’ insolvency and restructuring experience, working predominantly with owner-managed businesses and dealing with a range of restructuring and insolvency assignments from liquidations to trading administrations.
Steve’s in-depth experience spans a wide range of sectors and includes high-profile assignments, such as the administration of LDV Group Limited and the liquidation of Coventry Airport (West Midlands International Airport Limited).
Steve is a licenced insolvency practitioner and has strong relationships with a variety of local accountants, lawyers and lenders to whom he has provided insolvency and restructuring advice over the years.
In his spare time, Steve enjoys a variety of interests, including football, cricket, golf and music.
