FRP Advisory facilitates sale of the Golden Nugget, Circus Circus and Flamingo arcades in Great Yarmouth

The future of three seaside arcades in Great Yarmouth has been safeguarded, with the successful sale of The Golden Nugget, Circus Circus and Flamingo, on 16 March 2011, by Joint Administrators Philip Watkins and Phil Armstrong, partners at FRP Advisory LLP, the specialist restructuring, recovery and insolvency firm.

The sale was achieved following a comprehensive marketing campaign, which resulted in the purchase of the trio of amusement arcades by private leisure operator, Albert Botton, who intends to invest in the Marine Parade assets with a view to re-opening them following refurbishment, ready for the 2011 season.

Philip Watkins commented, "This is an excellent result for the seaside heritage of Great Yarmouth. We are delighted that these iconic arcades will continue to welcome visitors as we head towards the summer season. We wish the new owners well."
