1 March 2011
FRP Advisory LLP, the specialist restructuring, recovery and insolvency firm, has appointed Steve Stokes as an appointment taking director at its West Midlands location, based in Birmingham.
Steve joins from PwC, where he spent nine years, focusing on mid-market assignments and working closely with both lenders and intermediaries around the Midlands area. He has also worked for Baker Tilly and possesses some 12 years’ experience in insolvency and restructuring.
Gerald Smith, partner at FRP Advisory in the West Midlands, says: "We are very pleased to introduce Steve as the latest addition to our West Midlands team. His in-depth experience spans a wide range of sectors, making him ideally placed to deal with the variety of mid-market assignments which FRP Advisory handles."
He continues: "We have enjoyed significant growth in the Midlands recently and, as a result, have been able to bring some fantastic new talent into the firm."
In addition to owner-managed businesses, Steve has also worked on high-profile assignments including the administration of LDV Group Limited and the liquidation of Coventry Airport (West Midlands International Airport Limited).
Commenting on his new role, Steve adds: "FRP Advisory is one of the largest independent recovery firms in the UK and is committed to expanding its operation in the West Midlands. This role gives me the opportunity to build on my work in mid-market, continuing to work closely with owner-managers and the local professional and financial community - as well as being a part of an ambitious, growing team."
