FRP Advisory LLP in the North strengthens team with two key appointments
4 March 2011
FRP Advisory, the specialist restructuring, recovery and insolvency firm, has appointed Rachel Croft and Mark Miller as managers at its growing Northern location, based in Manchester.
Rachel joins from PwC in Leeds, where she spent six years dealing with personal insolvency assignments, including some high profile bankruptcies and individual voluntary arrangements. She will, alongside partner David Thornhill, lead the firm's personal insolvency offering in the North, working closely with the firm's national personal insolvency team.
Commenting on her appointment, David said: "I am delighted to welcome Rachel to FRP Advisory's personal insolvency team. We have a strong offering in the personal insolvency market and I am really looking forward to working with Rachel as we build on our reputation for providing personal insolvency solutions for all individuals suffering financial difficulties, be they sole traders, partners in professional practices, home-owners affected by the falling property market or people suffering from an increase in the cost of borrowing charged by providers of consumer credit."
Rachel added, "This is a fantastic opportunity to join the FRP Advisory team in Manchester and work with former colleagues David Thornhill and Charles Turner again. I am looking forward to using my skills and experience to develop FRP Advisory's personal insolvency business in the North of England and, alongside my colleagues, across the UK. The firm has a comprehensive national personal insolvency offering, as well as a complete range of advisory and insolvency services and I am delighted to be a part of this growing team."
Mark has been appointed to lead the development of business in the small and medium sized enterprise (SME) sector. He brings with him a wealth of experience in corporate and personal insolvency which has centred, for over 14 years, on the SME market throughout the UK. Predominantly focusing on restructuring and re-financing, as well as dealing with formal insolvency, Mark will also advise businesses that are suffering as a result of their own customers going into insolvency proceedings.
David Thornhill commented: "We are delighted that Mark is on board and look forward to working with him. His experience and excellent credentials will both complement and strengthen our business restructuring offering across the Northern region."
Speaking of his new role, Mark added, "This is a tremendous opportunity for me to work as part of a great team at FRP Advisory. I am looking forward to using my experience to offer practical advice and solutions to local businesses that are under pressure from the effects of an economy emerging from recession."
