FRP Advisory conducts survey of charity and not-for-profit finance professionals, raising money for Hands Around The World
21 April 2011
FRP Advisory LLP, the specialist restructuring, recovery and insolvency firm, recently joined forces with Third Sector, the leading online and weekly print media title for charities, voluntary organisations and social enterprises, to survey financial directors and managers working in the not-for-profit sector about their key concerns, as public spending cuts start to bite.
To thank those who took part in the survey, all respondents were entered into a draw to win £500 for their nominated charity.
We are pleased to announce that FRP Advisory has donated £500 to the winner's chosen charity, Hands Around The World, which seeks to help vulnerable children around the world, including Africa and India, encouraging enthusiastic and well-prepared short-term volunteers to offer practical help, skill-sharing, support and friendship.
Since their launch in 1994, Hands Around The World, a UK-registered charitable trust, has enlisted over 400 volunteers, taking part in projects which aim to promote understanding; to help people work side by side; to relieve suffering; to achieve something lasting and worthwhile; to broaden the experience of the volunteers; and to develop lasting links between communities.
The survey results are currently being reviewed and FRP Advisory is working with a renowned sector specialist to produce an expert paper. This will provide in-depth industry analysis, as well as practical advice and help for finance professionals, based on FRP Advisory’s own knowledge and experience of working with charity and not-for-profit organisations.

FRP Advisory, a specialist restructuring, recovery and insolvency firm, advises many leading charities and not-for-profit organisations in dealing with financial challenges, whether due to a significant drop in fundraising, or the pressure of a substantial pension deficit.
