FRP Advisory, Barclays and MAB Solicitors team up to take on the gruelling South Downs Challenge in aid of charity
12 July 2011
Three members of FRP Advisory LLP, a leading UK restructuring, recovery and insolvency firm, will be joined by team members from Barclays, Barclays Sales Finance and MAB Solicitors, when they take on the Trailwalker 2011 Challenge – a 100km trek across the South Downs, to raise money for Oxfam and The Gurkha Welfare Trust.
Philip Watkins, Jason Baker and Dominic Roberts of FRP
Advisory will be joined by James John, Peter Tomset and James Armour of Barclays
and Carolyn Jones of MAB Solicitors, when they take part in the gruelling Trailwalker
2011 from 16-17 July.
The Challenge is a physically and mentally demanding walk across the South Downs, where the teams are required to walk 100km within 30 hours, to raise as much money as possible for Oxfam and The Gurkha Welfare.
The walkers will be accompanied by a reliable support crew, comprising Susan Moor and Graham Holton, both of FRP Advisory, who will keep them fed and watered throughout the event.
Commenting on the Challenge, Philip Watkins said: “We
are all delighted to once again take part in the Challenge, giving us the
opportunity to raise money for two very worthy causes.
“We are very grateful to everyone who has generously supported us to date and welcome further donations, as we try to exceed our fundraising target of £5,000. Trailwalker 2010 is a very tough Challenge, but it’s well worth it, as it enables us to raise money to help people living in poverty around the world.”
