Great Yarmouth arcade operator falls into administration with appointment of FRP Advisory

19 October 2010

Philip Watkins and Phil Armstrong, partners at FRP Advisory LLP, were appointed Joint Administrators to the Thurston Group of Companies on 12 October 2010. The group operates three seaside arcades in Great Yarmouth - the Golden Nugget, Circus Circus and Flamingo. The Joint Administrators have closed the arcades for the winter period and appointed property consultants Edward Symmons to market the business to buyers.

Commenting on the case, Philip Watkins said: “The arcades went into administration following a tough trading period. We hope to secure a buyer during the winter season, however if the right purchaser is not identified, we will re-open the arcades for the summer to sell them as a going-concern.

“The arcades are a part of Great Yarmouth’s seaside heritage and we are hopeful of concluding a sale in the near future.”

Interested parties regarding the sale of the business should contact Anthony Simmons on 020 3005 4299 or complete the online form below.
