Following the management buy-out of an Essex-based restructuring firm, Geoff Rowley and Jeremy French founded FRP Advisory.

FRP expands its South West presence with the opening of a new office in Bristol in February 2011.

Following the acquisition of Scotland RSM Tenon insolvency and restructuring team allowing the firm to open up three new offices in Edinburgh, Inverness and Aberdeen.

Enhancing the firm’s service offering, FRP introduces new Corporate Finance services to support clients at different stages of the corporate lifecycle.

In February FRP launches a third pillar, Debt Advisory following the acquisition of Litmus Advisory, specialists in structuring finance for companies and private equity firms looking at asset-based lending. To meet the growing demand for forensic services, in October two industry experts were appointed to build the financial investigations and forensic technology service offering.

In February FRP opens a new office in Preston, tripling the size of the businesses North presence in just three years in response to growing demand for FRP’s services. Laster in the year FRP acquires BWC, a firm of independent corporate recovery and insolvency specialists based in Yorkshire and Teesside. The merger saw three new Partners join and a new office for FRP open in Teesside.

To reinforce the firms commitment to businesses across Yorkshire, In May FRP launches a new corporate finance practice in Leeds. This saw FRP’s Corporate Finance pillar operate from seven of 19 nationwide offices.

FRP launches its Norwich office with the acquisition of JDC Group. The move strengthens FRP’s offering in transaction, business growth and tax advice services to owner managed businesses. FRP continues to selectively build it’s UK footprint with the opening of it’s first office in Kent following the acquisition of business recovery firm, Abbott Fielding. FRP is listed on the London Stock Exchange, with a market capitalisation on admission of £190 million.

Spectrum, previously the largest independent corporate finance and debt advisory firm in the South of England is acquired by FRP in March. In November, FRP opens a new office in Cambridge following the appointment of Corporate Finance Partner Dan Bowtell.

FRP opens offices in Southampton, Glasgow, Sunderland, Cyprus and Leigh-on-Sea, acquiring property asset management firm BridgeShield, and launching the FRP Corporate Finance brand to support growing client demand.

FRP strengthens its Financial Advisory offering to meet growing client demand, launching a dedicated pillar. Restructuring expertise expand to Sheffield, through the Wilson Field acquisition.

FRP enters the Isle of Man via the acquisition of GWC, enhancing its cross-border advisory expertise. The acquisitions of Hilton-Baird Group and Globalview Advisors broadened FRP’s commercial finance, credit management, and valuation capabilities, while the additions of Lexington Corporate Finance in Cardiff and WilliamsAli in Newcastle deepened its Corporate Finance reach across Wales and the North East. Complementing this momentum, a new Belfast office further strengthened its Forensic Services team, marking another step in FRP’s commitment to supporting clients across the UK and beyond.

FRP celebrates 15 years with a refreshed brand, expands its Financial Advisory services through acquiring One Advisory, and opens a Bournemouth office to grow regional restructuring support.
