Meet Gerald

Gerald joined FRP’s Birmingham office in 2010 as a Partner in Pensions and Restructuring Advisory. He is a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner with more than 35 years’ experience and has been taking appointments since 1986.

In recent years, in particular since the implementation of the Pensions Act 2004, a large part of Gerald’s work has focused on providing employer covenant advice to trustees and employers of defined benefit pension schemes whose employers range in size from small corporates to listed plcs and multi-national organisations.

This includes negotiating multi-million pound detriment settlements associated with the acquisition of the employer companies, negotiations associated with the implementation of flexible apportionments arrangements, and providing professional services and assistance to trustees and employers of defined benefit pension schemes following intervention and investigation by the Pensions Regulator.
