Sue joined FRP in 2020 as a Senior Manager in our Forensic Services team, and is based in our London office. She has worked within forensic accounting since 2004.
Specialising in expert witness, dispute services, and forensic investigations, Sue has prepared formal expert witness reports for court both in the context of family and civil proceedings, as well as advisory reports in the capacity of shadow accounting expert for one party to the dispute. Sue has experience of valuing SME businesses and has prepared numerous loss of profit calculations in a variety of contentious matters. She has led a number of UK and international investigations including in respect of fraud, other accounting irregularities, regulatory breaches and bribery and corruption.
As well as her experience working as an external forensic accounting adviser, Sue has spent time working in-house as a forensic accounting and business valuation expert, advising family lawyers and their clients on business interests and other high value or complex financial assets held by the divorcing parties. She has also been seconded to the Enforcement team of the UK Financial Regulator.
Sue has been a guest speaker at the University of Portsmouth’s annual Counter Fraud and Forensic Accounting Conference, where she shared her experiences and views on effective communication when conducting large scale international investigations. She has also delivered training to lawyers on business valuations and understanding accounting and finance and participated in various advocacy training courses, helping to train new barristers in the art of expert witness handling.
