The deal
FRP Corporate Finance supports Palatine as it invests in Inclusive Employers to accelerate growth
Our Debt Advisory team has advised private equity investor Palatine on its investment in Inclusive Employers, a specialist membership organisation focused on creating inclusive workplaces.
Palatine’s investment will support Inclusive Employers on the next stage of its growth. This will include accelerating the business’ membership growth, scaling its teams, investing in its business development capability and building on its programme of materials, training, consultancy and events.
Inclusive Employers works with more than 500 businesses, organisations and sporting associations, to provide consultancy, training, advice and learning resources to help them to create more inclusive workplaces. The business also launched National Inclusion Week, a nationwide week-long programme of events dedicated to celebrating inclusion, which has run for a decade.
Palatine enlisted debt advisory services from FRP Corporate Finance to help raise debt capital in support of their investment. The team, which was led by Partner Simon Sherliker and supported by Director Stuart Sweeney, Senior Manager Julie Lada and Manager Karris Giani, worked efficiently to gain an understanding of the business and review a range of lenders to identify the right partner that shared Palatine and Inclusive Employers’ values.
Our team was instrumental in negotiating the funding package, and ThinCats provided term debt facilities in support of the deal.
Simon Sherliker, Debt Advisory Partner at FRP Corporate Finance, said: “Inclusive Employers is an ambitious business, with a truly market-leading proposition. More than ever, companies that are creating social or environmental change and tackling some of the biggest issues in society are attracting the backing of investors.”
Stuart Sweeney, Debt Advisory Director at FRP Corporate Finance, added: “This partnership is marked by a close alignment of values, and Palatine’s investment and expertise will help Inclusive Employers to take the next step on its growth journey. We’re thrilled to have supported Inclusive Employers and Palatine, and are excited to see where the business goes next.”
Matt Coles, Impact Investment Director at Palatine, said: “Inclusive Employers is at the forefront of a mission to help businesses thrive by attracting and retaining the best available talent and creating a truly inclusive culture.
“We are excited to be working with the team, with whom we share so many common values and look forward to using our experience in helping similar-sized organisations scale-up, establish the necessary systems and to also identify potential opportunities in what is a fast-growing and very fragmented sector. We’d like to thank the team at FRP Corporate Finance for their exceptional support.”
