FRP Corporate Finance has advised the shareholders of InterQuest Group on its sale to talent services specialist Morson Group.
Founded in 2001, InterQuest Group is an award-winning technology recruitment business with offices across the UK. Under the leadership of Chairman Gary Ashworth and CEO Greg Coleshill, the company has experienced rapid growth in recent years, seeking to meet the rising demand for specialised talent.
Salford-based Morson Group, a global talent solutions specialist, has successfully acquired InterQuest Group and Astraeus Consulting from parent company Albany Beck Holdings as a part of its commitment to expanding its service offerings and solidifying its presence in the technology sector.
FRP Corporate Finance Partner was appointed as lead sell-side advisors due to their extensive knowledge of the recruitment sector and track record in delivering similar transactions. Led by Partner Mark Farlow, Associate Director Ed Shurville-Darlington and Manager Chris Haidar, the team managed all stages of the deal,
from initial buyer interaction through to managing the due diligence and completion process.
Mark Farlow, Partner at FRP Corporate Finance, said: “The technology recruitment sector is starting to show signs of a recovery, with a noticeable upturn in market sentiment as we move into 2024. The sale of InterQuest to Morson Group is further evidence that technology remains the hottest recruitment sector due to the ongoing skills shortage – a trend that the expanded Morson Group is well positioned to capitalise on.
“The acquisition of the award-winning InterQuest Group will allow Morson Group to continue expanding its service offering and become a market leading technology recruitment business. These two businesses represent a perfect fit, and we look forward to seeing what they can achieve together.”
Gary Ashworth, Chairman of InterQuest Group, added: “This collaboration with Morson Group will help InterQuest build on its expertise and continue to deliver quality talent services. Morson Group’s track record of growth, positive client outcomes and innovation makes this an exciting opportunity for everyone involved.
“FRP Corporate Finance were instrumental in delivering this deal thanks to their experience of the recruitment sector and expertise in complex carve-out transactions such as this one. The knowledge, skill and experience that Mark and the team brought to the table helped ensure a smooth process at all stages of the deal.”
