The deal
Provide Community Interest Company (“Provide”) has acquired Cambridge-based Mind Professionals, with support from our Corporate Finance team, as the health and social care enterprise continues to diversify its business.
Supporting communities in Essex, East Anglia, Dorset and the North of England, Provide is an employee-owned Community Interest Company delivering a wide portfolio of health and social care services in hospitals and community care settings. As a not-for-profit organisation, all Provide surpluses are reinvested into its services and into supporting local communities.
The acquisition of Mind Professionals, a specialist provider of neurodevelopmental services, expert witness services and healthcare recruitment, enhances Provide’s Neurodevelopmental services and diversifies services further.
Provide was advised on the acquisition by our Corporate Finance team in Norwich, led by Partner Chris Adlam and Director Joanne Price. The team will continue to work with Provide to identify further acquisition opportunities having also advised on its acquisition of React Homecare Ltd in 2022.
Chris Adlam, Partner at FRP Corporate Finance, added: “Community-based care is and will continue to be critical to ensuring the wellness of people across the UK from a diverse range of backgrounds.
“It’s a pleasure to work with an organisation delivering care with a genuine sense of compassion and engagement, and we look forward to helping Provide identify and acquire further businesses as it continues its expansion, delivering the highest quality care to an increasing number of people.”
Paul Cooke, Managing Director at Provide Wellbeing, commented: “This is an exciting time for Provide Wellbeing. This acquisition is a significant milestone in our strategic growth plan. Integrating Mind Professionals into Provide Wellbeing, and the wider Provide Community Group, allows us to enhance our Neurodevelopmental services and diversify our services further.
