Advisers to building engineering consultancy, REAMS, on its new funding from UK lender, ThinCats.
We’re pleased to have supported REAMS, a South Wales-based consultancy to obtain new debt facilities from ThinCats, to accelerate the company’s ambitious growth plans.
REAMS, established in 2007 by Alistair Clements, is a building engineering consultancy providing technical asset management solutions across the built environment to a number of blue-chip companies covering the UK and Europe. The company works with its customers to collate, process, interpret and aggregate building construction and performance data, in order to provide cost effective building management and maintenance strategies across estates.
Our Corporate Finance team led by Partner Gary Partridge and Director Thomas Edwards worked with the senior management team of REAMS (Chief Executive Alistair Clements, Chief Financial Officer Kevin Dewhurst and Strategic Development Director Graham Ponton) to complete the transaction. The ThinCats team was led by Alison Whitstance and David Jamieson.
The new funding will allow the company to accelerate its growth plans in its core business whilst also assisting in the further development and commercial rollout of its own in-house asset lifestyle software, ELIAS.
Thomas Edwards, Director at FRP Corporate Finance, said: “The company has an excellent reputation in its sector and has seen significant growth during the past 12 months and is a great example of an innovate Welsh business looking to expand.
“The ELIAS software will further enhance the service offering and differentiate the business from its competitors. We look forward to working with other businesses who want an advisor to guide them through the fast-growing alternative finance provider sector.”
Kevin Dewhurst, Chief Financial Officer at REAMS, said: “We’ve known Gary professionally for several years, so when it came to seeking honest, independent advice and selecting a team that was capable of working with us to achieve our goal, we chose Gary and his team.”
Alison Whistance, Regional Business Development Direct at ThinCats, said: “I am delighted to support REAMS with their ambitious growth plans and the development of their market-leading ELIAS software which will further enhance the customer experience and service offering. REAMS is led by an experienced management team who are well-respected in the industry – we are proud to be their chosen funding partner and look forward to supporting their further growth.”
