The firm strengthens Debt Advisory and Forensic Services practices
We have further strengthened our Debt Advisory and Forensic Services practices with two Partner appointments based in our London office.
Tom Cox and Nishad Morjaria bring our firm Partner total to 50, collectively bringing almost 35 years’ advisory experience to our business.
Tom has joined our Debt Advisory team working with firms on a national scale and joins us from consultancy firm AlixPartners, where he was a Director.
Tom previously co-founded AlixPartner’s debt advisory practice, where he acted on the buy-side for a number of mid-market private equity houses, with a particular focus on leveraged and structured finance.
In his new role, Tom will work alongside three Partners to support the funding requirements of businesses across all sectors in the UK, leveraging particular experience in leisure and hospitality, industrials and business services.
With more than 20 years’ experience, Nishad Morjaria joins our Forensic Services team as Partner from EY, where he was an Associate Partner. Prior to that, he worked at KPMG and in mid-tier accountancy practices. For the past 15 years he has focused on the quantification of damages, valuation of business losses, forensic accounting advice and the provision of expert evidence in international arbitration, commercial claims and post M&A disputes.
Nishad joins our fast-growing Forensic Services team, comprising of forensic accounting and investigations and forensic technology professionals, which has doubled in size since January 2017.
Geoff Rowley, Partner at our London office, said: “It is incredibly important we continue investing in talent to grow our advisory service divisions. We are seeing increased demands for these specialisms from clients across the country.
“Tom and Nishad will allow us to deliver our best-in-class services to more businesses up and down the country with debt funding requirements or in need of support around litigation, fraud and compliance. In today’s business environment, it’s more important than ever that we can offer a broad range of services for our clients.”
