FRP launches Bournemouth office

Wednesday January 22, 2025

We kick off 2025 with further expansion

We’re pleased to announce the launch of our new office in Bournemouth, as we continue to invest in expanding our national footprint.

Located at Oxford Point in the centre of Bournemouth, the new office will be headed up by Partner Sandy Kinninmonth, who will lead a six-strong Restructuring Advisory team locally to service the market in Bournemouth and the wider Dorset region.

The move represents the latest step in our expansion as we seek to enhance our coverage across the UK and deepen our expertise in key service areas. It follows shortly after the launch of our first offices in Northern Ireland and Wales in 2024 – a year in which we completed five acquisitions, including Southampton-based Hilton-Baird and valuations specialist Globalview.

The new office will build on our existing presence in the South of England, with teams already established in Southampton, Brighton, Bristol and Salisbury. Our national Restructuring Advisory team has supported a wide range of high-profile administrations and business rescues in recent years, including The Body Shop, Jessops and Debenhams.

Sandy Kinninmonth, Restructuring Advisory Partner at FRP, said: “Bournemouth’s emergent reputation as a hub for business is seeing a growing number of firms call it home. However, despite their strong performance in recent years, local firms remain exposed to the wider economic challenges facing businesses across the country, including weak consumer demand, elevated interest rates and increased national insurance contributions.

“With insolvencies already at a historically high level, it’s key that businesses of all sizes can access the guidance and support required to navigate times of difficulty. Our demonstrated expertise in this area means that we’re well placed to act as a supportive partner to the region’s businesses in the years to come.”

Geoff Rowley, Chief Executive Officer of FRP, added: “2024 was a pivotal year in our growth strategy that saw us continue to expand our geographical reach while continuing to provide our clients with the high level of service we pride ourselves on. Our Bournemouth office represents a continuation of this strategy, and we look forward to the contribution Sandy and the team make to the firm throughout 2025 and beyond.”
