FRP took part in the 2019 Great Birmingham Run

FRP team took part in a half marathon to raise funds for Dementia UK

Five members of the FRP Birmingham team took part in the 2019 Great Birmingham Run on Sunday 11 October, in aid of Dementia UK.

Tony Barrell, Gerald Smith, Ben Jones, Karen Webb and Samantha Busby completed the course in a combined time of just over nine hours, winning second place in the ‘Mixed Small Business Team’ competition.

So far, the team have raised nearly £1,000 for Dementia UK. This money raised could fund a nurse for a full day of care as well as two nurses taking helpline calls on a Sunday.

Tony Barrell, Partner in our Restructuring Advisory team commented: “Despite the rain and last-minute change to the route, I am very pleased that the team managed to complete thechallenge, and has already raised a substantial amount for Dementia UK.”

Gerald Smith, Pensions Advisory Partner said: “During our lives in some way or another, we will all be affected by Dementia and its associated problems. The funds raised will go towards helping those affected to ensure that they receive help and the right support in what can be a very distressing illness.”
