FRP’s forensic work facilitates client’s court win

FRP’s forensic collection and eDiscovery services assists law firm

Background

FRP’s Forensic Technology team has extensive experience in providing forensic collection and eDiscovery services, often to tight deadlines. The team’s track record in this field led to being approached by a law firm who were representing an individual in dispute with a renewable energy company. Having worked with the law firm’s case team on a number of previous occasions, FRP’s Forensic Technology team was engaged to provide forensic collection and eDiscovery services in the case.

Action

FRP carried out the forensic collections and preservation of multiple digital devices including laptops and phones, as well as cloud-based email accounts. The team processed the data and hosted it for review within Relativity, an industry-leading eDiscovery review platform. The case was subject to the Disclosure Pilot Scheme (DPS), and was one of the first DPS matters the client’s legal team had worked on. The Forensic Technology team assisted in creating bespoke reporting and tracking workflows as well as navigating the requirements of the scheme, to ensure all obligations to the Court were met.

Outcome

Our Forensic Technology team facilitated the client’s review of data received from the other side, assisting our client when the case was heard in Court.
