FRP strengthens its financial services capability with the appointment of Holly Holgate

Specialist business advisory firm FRP has appointed Holly Holgate as a partner in its restructuring advisory practice. The appointment strengthens FRP’s financial services capability and supports its growth beyond traditional insolvency work.

Holly brings more than two decades’ experience across restructuring, insolvency and financial services regulation. She joins from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), where she spent three years leading its resolution and insolvency department, and she is a qualified insolvency practitioner. She will strengthen FRP’s formal insolvency practice as well as its advisory capability.

Before the FCA, Holly held director roles at EY-Parthenon and Deloitte. At EY she primarily advised clients on options analysis and contingency planning, and at Deloitte she performed a number of client facing and non-client facing roles within their Restructuring Services department. She is a passionate advocate for workplace diversity and sits on the insolvency industry’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Steering Group.

At FRP, Holly will co-lead the continuing development of the firm’s restructuring financial services practice alongside Dan Conway, drawing on her regulatory experience and the industry relationships she has built over more than 20 years. She will also help expand the firm’s advisory capability, focusing on options analysis and contingency planning.

She will work with colleagues across the breadth of FRP’s service lines to provide joined-up support on complex matters for clients across the UK.

Holly Holgate, restructuring advisory partner at FRP, said: “I’ve been in the industry for more than two decades and this felt like the right opportunity at the right time. FRP’s culture and approach to client work stood out to me – in particular the genuinely collaborative and supportive working environment, coupled with its straightforward and pragmatic approach to supporting clients. There’s a real appetite to bring together expertise from across the business to deliver better outcomes for clients in an efficient and effective manner.

“It’s important that the work I do makes a real impact and I am passionate about the valuable role the industry plays. I’ve built strong relationships across the industry and worked on complex, large-scale projects throughout my career and FRP’s platform gives me the opportunity to put this experience to work. There’s real momentum here and I’m excited to be part of what comes next.”

Jeremy French, chief operating officer at FRP, added: “Holly brings a rare combination of skills – extensive experience both in restructuring and regulatory matters, and a strong network built across the industry. This blend of technical expertise and insight strengthens our ability to support clients across the full advisory lifecycle and will be a real asset as we continue to grow our offering.”
