Four award wins for FRP Corporate Finance

FRP Corporate Finance has won a total of four awards at two regional deal awards in the South – the Business Magazine Solent Deals Awards 2024, and the Insider South-East Dealmakers Awards 2024.

Darren Miller, FRP Corporate Finance Partner was named ‘Corporate Finance Adviser of the Year’ at the Solent Deals Awards, recognising his deal success, attention to detail on all transactions, and commitment to the region.

In addition, the sale of CLC Group to H.I.G. Capital was named ‘Large Deal of the Year (over £50 million)’. With its head office in Southampton and 15 branches across the UK, CLC is one of the largest and most respected privately-owned businesses based in the Solent region – achieving impressive consistent growth over the last 40 years in business. FRP Corporate Finance Partners Darren Miller and Simon Davies advised the shareholders of CLC Group, on the successful sale, securing investment from H.I.G. Capital to support the next phase of growth. The deal was supported by a full team of local sell-side advisers who were all present to share in the success of the win.

Continuing this success at the Insider South-East Dealmakers Awards, Brighton based FRP Corporate Finance Partner, Adrian Alexander won ‘Corporate Finance Adviser of the Year’. The judges commented that Adrian is well-known within the finance community as a knowledgeable deal professional, illustrated by his range of skills including a buyside mandate, two stage exit/MBO and a cross-border sale to a Dutch trade buyer.

In addition, the sale of CLC Group to H.I.G. Capital picked up Deal of the Year (£40 million+) – recognising the significance of this transaction to the wider region.

Both these award ceremonies recognise the outstanding work of the dealmaking community across the South.

These award wins follow a strong 2023 for FRP Corporate Finance, which saw our team close a total of 66 deals with an aggregate value of £1.5 billion.
