FRP Corporate Finance wins four regional awards

FRP Corporate Finance wins at The Business Magazine Thames Valley Deals Awards 2021

We are delighted to announce that FRP Corporate Finance has won four awards at The Business Magazine Thames Valley Deals Awards 2021.

Our Corporate Finance team won Corporate Finance Team of the Year, beating finalists including BDO, KPMG, PwC and Grant Thornton, along with Partner Simon Davies winning the prestigious Corporate Finance Adviser of the Year award.

In addition to the individual and team categories, our team was also awarded for its work on some of the region’s best deals over the past 18 months – with Babble picking up Large Deal of the Year (over £50 million) which FRP advised on the sale of, and Invenio awarded International Deal of the Year, in which our team was adviser to BGF and Invenio on a debt raise to fund the acquisition of LSI Consulting.

The awards recognise the outstanding work of leading dealmakers, corporate finance specialists, private equity firms, lawyers, accountants, banks and non-bank lenders across the Thames Valley region.

Richard Thompson, Managing Director of Black-Ox – publisher of The Business Magazine, said: “There were some complex deals completed in the region over the past 18 months, not made any easier by having to work within government guidelines due to COVID-19, with staffing levels reduced and face-to-face meetings with clients put on hold. But all the finalists made it happen which is why we are celebrating their successes.”

The news follows a record period of growth for the firm, which saw our Corporate Finance and Debt Advisory team treble in size following a number of strategic acquisitions and senior appointments. The team’s growth earlier this year was marked with the launch of sub brand – FRP Corporate Finance – bringing together our teams to provide strategic support and advice for businesses.
