FRP announces latest round of senior promotions nationally
We’re pleased to have made 34 promotions across our UK-wide network of offices, reflecting another year of significant growth and progression at FRP.
Among the list of annual promotions, Harry Walker has become a Partner in our Leicester office, working within our Corporate Finance team. Since joining the firm in 2018, Harry has played an instrumental role in expanding FRP’s activity in the region, particularly in relation to M&A. An alumnus of Accountancy Age’s 35 under 35 rankings, Harry has recently facilitated deals including FM Mattsson Mora Group’s acquisition of kitchen and bathroomware brand Aqualla Brassware, the sale of leading vaping manufacturer EOS Group to AQL International, and the acquisition of paneer-manufacturer Everest Dairies by the UK’s largest Asian food group, Vibrant Foods.
In our London office, David Hinrichsen becomes an appointment-taking Director within the firm’s Restructuring Advisory team, while Anthony Simmons has been promoted to Director. A native German speaker, David has worked across a wide variety of subjects and industries, ranging from specialist insolvency law claims to general commercial matters and competition cases emanating from a range of corporate and personal insolvency matters.
Also in London, Chris Pearce in the Restructuring Advisory team has been promoted to Senior Manager, alongside Harry Trick in the Forensic Services team. Matt Kesek, also in the Restructuring Advisory team has been promoted to Manager.
Regionally, Michael Bloom in our Manchester-based Corporate Finance team has been promoted to Associate Director, with Katy Flynn in Preston’s Restructuring Advisory team becoming a Senior Manager. Elsewhere in the Restructuring Advisory team, David Jones in Birmingham and Anthony Druce in Bristol have been promoted to Manager.
As part of a 29 per cent increase in FRP’s headcount in the last year, a total of 34 individuals have been promoted across the firm.
The latest round of promotions follows a year of significant growth for FRP. Having listed on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange in March 2020, we have invested significantly in our Corporate Finance and Forensic Services offerings, including through the acquisition of Spectrum Corporate Finance and JDC Group. Our Corporate Finance team has more than doubled to 48 employees, with our Financial Services team growing by almost a third. We have also continued to advise on a range of high-profile restructuring matters, including the administrations of Debenhams, Carluccio’s and EWM Group, while also acquiring Kent business recovery firm Abbott Fielding.
Jeremy French, Chief Operating Officer, said: “Nurturing and developing talent within our firm has never been more important. The pandemic has impacted businesses in almost every sector, with many encountering novel challenges that go beyond the experience of their senior management team. With demand increasing for the range of specialist advisory services we offer, it’s imperative that we continue to invest in attracting, developing and retaining leading talent who can help businesses create, preserve and recover value.
“This latest round of promotions recognises the substantial impact, hard work and dedication our colleagues have made to the firm. I’d like to congratulate each of them on their individual achievements, and I look forward to working alongside them on the next phase of their career development at FRP.”
