Restructuring in the hotel sector: what does the future hold?

In a new publication, we explore the future outlook of the UK hotel industry

The UK hotel sector has been a major driver of GDP over the past decade, with inbound tourism, city breaks and corporate events supporting growth.

With the majority of the UK hotel sector preparing to make the most of another summer in which the British public may have no alternative but to holiday in the UK, the sector faces a difficult 2021. Although hotels will rebound strongly in the coming years, and the asset class is still seen as highly attractive to inbound investment, there are significant operational and financial challenges for operators to overcome as they plan their recovery against a backdrop of uncertainty.

In our latest sector-focused publication, Restructuring Advisory Partners, Ian Corfield and Phil Reynolds explore the sector’s outlook and how the industry is likely to evolve as it begins to re-emerge from the pandemic.
