Administrators from FRP Advisory have completed a pre-packaged sale of the business and assets of the Keystone Brewing Group to West Yorkshire-based Saltaire Brewery.
Anthony Collier and Martyn Rickels of FRP Advisory Manchester, were appointed Joint Administrators of the company on 22nd January, advised by Shoosmiths, and immediately completed a pre-pack sale of the business and assets to Saltaire Brewery. The transaction secures the continuation of Keystone’s brewing operations and safeguards around 150 jobs.
Keystone Brewing Group includes well-known brands from Black Sheep Brewery and Purity Brewing. The Group operates from two main sites in Warwickshire and Yorkshire.
In recent months, the business faced increasing financial pressure as a result of challenging trading conditions across the brewing and hospitality sector.
The pre-pack sale ensures the business will continue to trade without interruption under new ownership. All key operational assets have transferred to Saltaire Brewery, allowing production and distribution to customers to continue as normal.
Anthony Collier, Joint Administrator and Partner at FRP, said: “Keystone Brewing is a well-established and highly regarded business with strong brands and a loyal customer base. This transaction provides the business with a secure future under new ownership and delivers a positive outcome for employees and customers alike. We’re pleased to have achieved a sale that preserves jobs and enables the business to continue trading seamlessly.”
