Empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs
FRP is proud to partner with the Peter Jones Foundation to expand the National Entrepreneur of the Year (NEOY) competition – a flagship initiative that champions young business talent across the UK. This collaboration reflects our shared belief in the power of enterprise to transform lives and communities.
With FRP’s support, this year the NEOY competition have introduced regional heats, giving young entrepreneurs the opportunity to pitch to and connect with local industry leaders and doubled the prize grant to £10,000.

About the Peter Jones Foundation

Founded by entrepreneur Peter Jones CBE, the Foundation delivers meaningful enterprise experiences to young people from primary school through to sixth form and beyond. Through pioneering educational programmes and competitions, it equips future business leaders with the skills, confidence and support they need to thrive.

What is the National Entrepreneur of the Year Competition?
The NEOY competition is the Foundation’s most prestigious event, offering young entrepreneurs aged 16–21 the chance to pitch their business ideas to industry leaders. Finalists compete for funding, mentorship and national recognition with prizes including £10,000 for the overall winner, £5,000 for the runner-up, and £1,000 for each regional winner.
Last year’s winner, Miah Maddock-Hodgins, founded MCR Education Hub, an inclusive platform supporting young people facing barriers to mainstream education. Her journey is a powerful example of how entrepreneurship can drive social change.
