Richard Whitehead MBE

Richard Whitehead MBE is a British Paralympian and double amputee who defied limits across multiple sports. Originally an ice sledge hockey player, he became a world-record marathoner before switching to sprinting. Denied entry to the marathon at London 2012, he won gold in the 200m T42 with a world record, later defending his title in Rio and earning silver in Tokyo. Off the track, he’s a passionate advocate and fundraiser, famously running 40 marathons in 40 days for charity. His resilience, speed, and spirit continue to inspire athletes and audiences worldwide.
