We’re pleased to have advised private equity firm, CBPE, on its investment in Brookbanks Development Group, a Birmingham-headquartered development and infrastructure consultancy, securing a tailored debt package to support the business’ next phase of growth.

Brookbanks is a leading multidisciplinary consultancy that supports the planning, design and delivery of large-scale, complex development and infrastructure projects across the UK. Founded in 1997, the business supports clients including Taylor Wimpey, the British Museum and the Leadenhall Building and employs more than 150 people across 10 offices in England and Wales.

CBPE has invested in Brookbanks to support its next phase of growth, with plans including the continued development of its people, the expansion of its service capabilities, geographic development and a targeted acquisition strategy. The partnership will also provide Brookbanks with additional resources and expertise to further strengthen its market position and create new opportunities for employees and clients alike.

Our Debt Advisory team was appointed to act as lead debt adviser to CBPE. The team managed the financing workstream from its outset to completion, running a competitive lender process, leading commercial discussions and ultimately structuring a two-bank club solution that provided CBPE with the right terms and flexibility.

Having previously supported CBPE on similar transactions, our team had a clear understanding of the sponsor’s objectives, helping to support a streamlined financing process and swift execution.
