Award success for our newly acquired Corporate Finance teams

Our newly acquired teams in Newcastle and Cardiff have both been recognised for their deal success with significant wins at their regional Insider Dealmakers Awards. Newcastle firm WilliamsAli Corporate Finance was named ‘Corporate Finance Advisory firm of the Year’ at the Insider North-East Dealmakers Awards 2024, and Lexington Corporate Finance won ‘Deal of the Year’ at the Insider Wales Dealmakers Awards 2024, for the sale of Burns Pet Nutrition to Assisi Pet Care.

The judges of the North-East Dealmakers awards commented that they were impressed with the growth of WilliamsAli Corporate Finance, both in terms of the team and the deal value. They also noted the firm’s close relationships it has built within the region’s corporate finance community and the high-profile deals it has completed this year.

The sale of pet food maker Burns Pet Nutrition was named ‘Deal of the Year’ at the Wales Dealmakers Awards, recognising the company’s position as the biggest employer in Kidwelly, with plans to grow and promote the brand from its operations in the town under new owners Assisi Pet Care. Director Tom Coombes alongside Executive Jade Burgess, both based in the Cardiff office, acted for the shareholders of Burns on this significant local transaction.

In July, FRP announced the acquisition of Lexington Corporate Finance, closely followed by the acquisition of WilliamsAli Corporate Finance in September. This strategic move extends our geographical reach into Wales and enhances our corporate finance offering in the North-East. Our growing, award-winning team now consists of 90 fee earners, including 25 Partners.

Both firms will soon be rebranding and going to market as FRP Corporate Finance.
