A little about Ian

Ian joined FRP in 2020 as a Partner in our Restructuring Advisory team, based in our London office.

Ian is a Partner in our Restructuring Advisory team based in our London office with 35 years’ transaction advisory experience gained predominantly at at a Big Four firm.

Prior to joining FRP in 2020, Ian spent 5 years broadening his professional insight: firstly as Head of Corporate Finance at CBRE Hotels EMEA where he was responsible for supporting clients in raising and refinancing debt facilities, and latterly as Managing Director responsible for European debt opportunities for White Oak Global Advisers, a US headquartered private capital fund.

A Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) and Licensed Insolvency Practitioner, who is also registered in Jersey, Ian specialises in providing boardroom challenge and advice to stressed and distressed businesses and their stakeholders across a wide variety of asset classes and situations with both simple and complex capital structures.  Ian has secured and led assignments ranging from business reviews and financial due diligence, group streamlining, financial restructuring, stakeholder management, cashflow management, special situation M&A, exit and contingency planning, and financial modelling.

Although sector agnostic Ian’s project portfolio in recent years notably includes hotels and leisure, residential development and construction, pharmacies and care facilities, consumer car finance, and governmental advisory matters.
