A little about Andrew

Andrew joined FRP in 2018 as a Partner in Restructuring Advisory and works across our Newcastle and Sunderland offices. He has worked in the insolvency sector since 1980, and has been taking formal appointments since 2008.

Andrew’s focus in more recent times has been on corporate insolvency and restructuring, and contentious insolvency, specifically where there is evidence of the use of tax schemes. He has extensive experience in managing engagements where HMRC are the main stakeholder, and when a usually complex investigation is required to identify recoveries.

Andrew’s recent cases have included his appointment as a replacement liquidator of a company where investigations had been concluded, but where, following a further review of the use of tax schemes, a seven-figure settlement was agreed.
