FRP Advisory appoints Dougal Baxter as Partner to grow Midlands Transaction Services offering

FRP Advisory has appointed experienced deals adviser Dougal Baxter as Partner as it expands its Transaction Services (TS) offering across the Midlands.

Dougal brings more than twenty-five years of deals experience to the FRP team, including over 20 years at BDO and four years at EY. He has worked in the Midlands deals market since 2000, specialising in transaction services since 2004.

Based in Birmingham, Dougal will support the growth of FRP’s Transaction Services offering across the Midlands and support its development in other regions. He will work alongside the firm’s existing TS and Corporate Finance teams nationally. His appointment also forms part of plans to further grow the regional Transaction Services and Corporate Finance teams.

Dougal has advised on transactions ranging from mid-market deals involving owner-managed and entrepreneurial businesses to larger, cross-border transactions. His experience spans both buy-side and sell-side assignments, including vendor due diligence and vendor assistance, working with private equity investors, corporates and management teams.

He has worked across a wide range of sectors, with particular experience in industrials, manufacturing, business services, technology and building products. His approach will remain focused on supporting businesses across the regional mid-market, rather than specialising exclusively in individual sectors.

Dougal will also focus on the enhancement of data and analytics in financial due diligence. By using transaction-level information and analytical tools, this will give buyers, sellers and management teams greater insight into the underlying drivers of business performance and valuation.
